Final Destination

With the first installment of the “Final Destination” franchise, the film opens with Alex Browning having a premonition of a horrific plane crash. He screams and panics, causing the flight attendants to restrain him. Alex’s girlfriend, Clear Rivers, and best friend, Carter Horton, try to calm him down, but he is adamant that the plane is going to crash.

Alex convinces Clear, Carter, and several other passengers to leave the plane with him before it takes off. The plane crashes shortly after takeoff, killing everyone on board. Alex and his friends are initially relieved to have escaped death, but they soon realize that Death is coming for them.

The passengers who left the plane start dying in strange and freak accidents, one by one. Alex and his friends realize that they must find a way to cheat Death again, or they will all die.

Alex and Carter eventually discover that the order of the deaths is the same as the order in which the passengers would have died on the plane. They try to warn the remaining passengers, but it is too late. Death takes its toll, and Alex is the only one left alive.

Final Destination 5

The final installment of the “Final Destination” series comes with a twist. First of all, the film opens like the previous films in the franchise, with Sam Lawton having a premonition of the collapse of the North Bay Bridge, killing everyone on board his bus. He screams and panics, causing the bus to pull over. Sam’s coworkers, including his girlfriend Molly Harper, initially doubt him, but they eventually decide to get off the bus with him.

Sam and his coworkers escape the bridge collapse unscathed, but they soon realize that Death is coming for them. The survivors of the accident start dying in strange and freak accidents, one by one. Sam and his friends realize that they must find a way to cheat Death again, or they will all die.

Sam and his friends eventually discover that the order of the deaths is the same as the order in which the passengers would have died on the bridge. They try to warn the remaining survivors, but it is too late. Death takes its toll, and Sam is the only one left alive.

But not for long though, as at the end of the film, we see Sam and his girlfriend boarding a plane, and in that plane was the guy from the first movie having his own premonition that the plane was going to crash.

This simply means that while Sam might have escaped death in his own premonition, he couldn’t do so in someone else’s premonition.
